Certificate Policy

The rules governing registration, preparation, the exam and certificate issuance. Registering for the exam confirms that you have read and accept them.

1. Eligibility

  • Registration is open to healthcare sector workers in the Kingdom who belong to the target groups of one of the two tracks: Healthcare Practitioners or Patient Services.
  • Applicants provide proof of work in the healthcare sector through experience certificates or an employment letter.

2. Preparation

  • Completing the preparation hours in one of the preparation programs (online or on-site) is required to sit the exam.
  • The free introductory course does not replace a preparation program.
  • A program completion certificate is issued to those who complete all its hours.

3. The exam

  • The exam is held in person at the exam center, on computers, in Arabic and English, with multiple-choice questions built on practical scenarios.
  • Candidates book a session from the published schedule; the booking is confirmed after paying the exam and certificate fee.
  • Candidates arrive thirty minutes before the session with their original ID; entry is not permitted after the exam has started.
  • Phones, electronic devices and papers are not allowed in the exam hall, and candidates follow the invigilator's instructions.

4. Results and performance levels

  • The pass mark is 70%.
  • A passing result is classified as Distinction (90% and above), Merit (80% to 89%) or Pass (70% to 79%).
  • Results are sent by email within the working days following the exam, and certificates are issued to those who pass in the name shown on their ID.

5. Retake

  • Candidates who do not pass may retake the exam after a development period of at least three months from the previous exam date; repeating the preparation program is not required.

6. Validity and renewal

  • The certificate is valid for five years from the date of issue.
  • It is renewed every five years according to the continuing professional development requirements announced by the awarding body.

7. Integrity and conduct

  • Cheating, impersonation or any attempt to copy exam questions results in cancellation of the exam and a one-year ban from applying.
  • The certificate may be withdrawn if the application data or attachments prove to be false.

8. Personal data

  • Applicants' data and attachments are processed according to the privacy policy published on the website and the Personal Data Protection Law.
